Some quick photos after being reintroduced to his tank after a long car ride. More to come in the following days/weeks...
Thanks for posting these photos here Ray. These frogs look like a zeteki and a leucomelas hybridized.

I am somewhat jealous, though I prefer Atelopus spumarius barbatoni. I just prefer purple over yellow. That being said, I have no idea if A. s. barbatoni is even available. I didn't even A.s. hoogmoedi was available.
Ray you should enter one of your pictures in the monthly photo contest.
That is just about the prettiest animal I have ever seen! Do you have a mate for him?
To my knowledge there are no surviving females in the US at the moment. The species is a dead end in the US hobby unless there are some more imports allowed in some time in the future. That isn't out of the realm of possibility but it is unlikely due to the very public profile all atelopus species now have, even lowland forms like this that are probably not in much danger in the wild.
You are correct, Seth. From what I can gather only male frogs remain in the U.S. from the last few imports. I know that there were a few remaining females in Canada but no longer, at least of this species of Atelopus.
