Default Calciworms as a plausible staple???

I went into a local petco and calciworms and my juvenile giant pixie about the size of a half dollar loved them he was so eager he tried lunging through the glass for them and attacked the tongs for them. Big question I have since their a larvae of the soldier fly how many and how often is considered safe for a frog that's growing and is about 2.5" long and about an 1" in girth? Is their any heads up on them like with mealworms for a hard shell or is it a great staple to mix with crickets and chopped up earth worms? Yes the little giant gets a large chopped up night crawler a week bigger then he is. Any ideas are welcome and as always thank you
