My smaller wtf has been moving around the tank a lot, squishing his face into the corners. He's also been digging into the substrate. I don't think the digging is an attempt to stay warm or humid, because the temperature and humidity have been pretty high lately. He digs next to the glass, so it looks like an escape attempt. He hasn't started scraping his nose on the ceiling yet but it may only be a matter of time.
I don't think he's bothered by the other frog...Bonk just sits there most of the time, waiting for a cricket to appear in his bowl. If he was bothering Julep I'd probably have seen it at least once.
So, how to deal with this? I could get a tank taller than 24'', but it would have to come through the mail and...let's say I've had bad experiences with getting heavy glass shipped.
What do you people think about letting your frogs out of their tank occasionally? I've done this to Julep and he just sat there on the ledge for a while, but when I put him back he seemed calmer. Obviously there's a chance that he'd get lost or hurt himself so it's not the best solution.
Personally if it is a controlled situation it's prob fine to let them out to play but you also risk stressing them out more if they feel threatened. My juvenile wtf Misty has been very restless lately similar to what you are describing. I'm am hesitant to take her out because I worry about making matters worse.

Yeah, Julep's pretty relaxed about being handled (I usually let him climb onto my hands rather than picking him up), but I'm always afraid I'll have a chemical on my hands that washing didn't remove.
Once I let him out and he hopped onto a dry bowl, which turned over on top of him! He was okay, but that was scary.
Maybe I'll wait until he's actually started rubbing his nose on the ceiling before I let him out.
I trained my WTF's to eat Out of a separate bin, so I take them out every time they eat. I started it when they were younger and now they expect to come out. They are very calm and don't jump around all over the place. So as long as you spray them, and wear gloves which is the proper thing to do (I never got into it) you should be fine. I wish you luck with whatever you choose.

My girls were doing that. I started feeding more often and they have relaxed majorly. Their nose rubs are finally starting to go away! It's not that you have to feed more, but just more often.
Handling can also help. My one girl Betty seems to love handling. She completely relaxes when I take her out. Sally prefers to be left alone. It honestly seems like they want attention. When I walk into the room, their eyes open up, they turn to look at me and often will jump onto the glass and try to escape!
24 high should be plenty, so I don't think space is the problem.
