Im excited to have found this forum i have read some good things about it and i hope to be apart of it as well. Anyways i have a 50 gallon tank with some giants danios, rose barbs, a bottom feeder, and 9 mini african clawed frogs... Unfourtunately for me the store i bought them from didnt know the difference between the minis. And the normal ones... Which can get rather large. I realized that they were african clawed frogs by researching how to properly care for them online and came across several stories of my same dilemma. The features like webbed hind legs only and smooth skin gave it away and now some are getting big almos 3 inchs now. Ill be getting a bigger tank soon but im curious what i can expect in the near future and some tips on caring for the frogs in general. Ive made them cozy with lots of silk plant decor and hide aways and i do a 25% water change and vaccum the gravel every 2 weeks as well as replace my filters. The fish eat flakes and pellets, and my frogs so far eat dried shrimp and krill. And i got soft newt pellets a bigger pet store sold and said was okay for them to eat. Which does seem to be the case because i give it too them once or twice a week and they go crazy for it. I use a giant shell as a feeding dish and pour some in and they swarm it like ants Any feed back would be very appreciated thank you guys!
