Is there something wrong with my toad's eye?

Ever since last night he's been keeping his eye closed. I've examined it a few times and it's just as clear as his other eye but he just doesn't want to keep it open for some reason. I keep thinking maybe there's something in it but I can't see anything. Is he starting to get an eye infection? I just don't understand why he keeps doing this. Every now and then I'll even catch him with his eye half closed. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there anything I can do?
