Just thought Id share this unique build I've been working on for a customer. Its what I call the "Jungle Crate Build" I wanted to make this tank look like it could be found in the jungle. Its a 20 gallon tank that I made a custom display case for. The case is made out of old wooden crates. The lid hides a Zoo med 18" Reptisun LED light.Plants include two small bromeliads, a couple tropicals, a fern, and a few vining plants as well as some moss. I wood burned a custom logo in the hood. Custom background. Used the greatstuff method. Anyways, hope everyone enjoys. I thought that the whole project turned out better than I expected. Really gave me the rustic worn look of a crate thats been sitting in the jungle. Plan on housing 3 juvenile leucomelas in it.

Looks sharp man. Good to see im not the only wood builder out there. Did you torch the wood for the dark hues? People ask me to build tanks all the time, but man we just cannot put a price on time/living art... Lol that and the wife wants to keep them all lmao.
Very cool! I love the crate look!

Krispy, the wood came with the dark hues in it. I didn't have to do anything to it. My local hardware store gives me the wood for free. Help keep the cost down and easier to explain to the wife lol.
