Poor guy :/
If you can it'd be best to take him by the herb vet, to determine if it actually is red leg, which can be pretty severe. Is it red leg, he most probably will need antibiotics and cagemates aswell, if he's been with any.
Otherwise, pr. my experience, the best you can do is quarentine him in an antibacterial enviroment and not stress him. So maybe leave the honey water over night in his container and keep him on foam pads (w/o any chemicals) that's changed every day, with a cave he knows and confides in. Otherwise do what you can to diminish stress and give him good fodder (vitamin filled, gutfed feedings).
I'd also check the careguide here for toads and see if anything in his enviroment isn't optimal. Anyhow I'd change the substrate, wash his tank down and so on, to remove any remaining bacteria.
Sounds good that it's becoming less. Keep an eye on it. Red leg can be lethal and if it's worsening, he should see a vet.
