How to watch red eye tree frogs

Since these frogs only seem to be awake in the middle if the night I never get to see them. I have seen some other members pictures of their frogs active and it looks like it is day light??? How are you all enjoying these frogs without staying up all night? What is your day/night light setup schedule?

Lights go on at 630 am, off at 7pm. They usually wake up around 8pm but do not get really active until around 11pm. They are pretty active also before the light comes on in the morning. None of my pics are taken during day light, I flip on their light to snap pics or use flash with the room light on. There isn't really a way to 'watch' them. You just stay up late and peek in on them with a flash light.

Some people say they use red lights at night or blue lights to simulate the moon, but I never had any luck with either of those. My Reds would see the light and hunker back down to rest more. I would just peak in on them with a really dim flashlight from time to time.

i keep a lamp on in my room. Not very bright. Its dim. My red eyes will either shut their eyes when theres light or will hide away within a few minutes. Theyre sensitive to light. I honestly only get to see the black and white version of them most of the time, because they are in the dark when out and about. But the lamp gives off just enough light that i can see what they are doing. I also dont take pictures of them during the day, unless its a sleeping pic. I usually use the flash. Though have turned the lamp on for moments too. Ive also used very very dim colored lights. Very dim.

I give them 12 hours light, 12 hours dark. You can shut the light off BEFORE bed if youd like, so you can see them before you go to bed yourself.

Led blues for an aquarium. Lights on 7:30am off 6-8pm time of year pending. For a good day time pic we tickle their little bums with a leaf till they wake up lmao. Night time i turn their uvb bulb back on because its a fairly dim bulb compared to the 65k's i have everywhere. Our 3 are fully active by 10pm and hunker in just before 7am
