    Default Question about Amietophrynus pantherinus

    Hi guys,

I'm new to the forum. I used to keep various toads as a kid (Great Plains Toads, mostly, though when I moved to San Antonio, I started keeping Gulf Coast Toads). I'm starting a roach colony and getting back into keeping toads, and as I was looking around at some of the more exotic species, the western leopard toad caught my eye. Does anyone here breed Amietophyrnus pantherinus? I'm not looking to acquire a toad within the next few months, given that I need time for my roach colony to become self-sustaining. But any leads for future purchases will be appreciated. Ultimately, if I was unable to acquire a pantherinus, I would settle for a Bufo marinus, which are certainly not rare in the least and incredibly easy to find. Anywho, thanks. Glad to find this forum.

Hi Tglazie and welcome back to the world of toadsters

Sadly I haven't heard of anyone breeding pantherinus, but keep looking. And good luck.

Amietophyrnus pantherinus is an awesome toad from South Africa (known as the western leopard toad). Unfortunately, it may be hard to find since it's listed as Endangered. For more info, check out this website:
