Default Putting plastic wrap underneath substrate?

Has anyone done this for easier clean-up? I'm switching my Pacman from a Kritter Keeper to a glass tank soon so cleaning her cage won't be as quick and easy. I'd love to be able to just pick all the substrate up at once with no mess left behind. My only concern would be any chemicals from the plastic going into the substrate, thus into my frog. Is this something that would be safe, or is there something else I could use for the same effect? Burlap maybe or reptile carpet?

I wouldn't. I think that plastic wrap wouldn't be substantial enough to stand up to a month under wet substrate then still be strong enough to pull it out without breaking. Plus there are the concerns over chemicals and what would happen if the frog accidentally ate some of it.
I also don't think burlap or reptile carpet would be a good idea. Staying wet that long it isn't going to take long before you've got bacteria and mold growing all over it.

Ah yeah I hadn't thought about it breaking down with the moisture and all that. Oh well, thanks for the reply!

He may also not like the feeling of it against his skin when he burrows down far enough to touch it. And I would worry about when he burrows down that he could tear it or put a hole or something in it. I know that's a real big what if but I wouldn't want to take the chance. And if he does put a hole in it or something when he goes back to burrow in that hole in the morning he could end up under that wrap. Again they are what ifs but there is a possibility I could happen.

Agreed, I'm not gonna do it. I was looking for reasons not to and I got them I always make sure she has enough substrate that she can bury herself completely and still not touch the bottom but you're right, still a possibility! Any suggestions for possible materials are welcome!
