Diy foam background

Im going to attempt to make a spray foam background for one of my tanks using this how to: http://www.ehow.com/how_6389304_make...ackground.html. the how to doesnt really say what kinda of silicone to use except what colors to get. i picked up a few tubes that you use a caulk gun to apply, is this the right one? do i just squeeze it on, then smear it over the foam?

Just make sure it says 100% black silicone. Check out Black hunger.com for a detailed show of how to make these backgrounds.

oh ok, ive been there before but never thought of looking for a background, ill check it out. basically i'm just looking for somewhere to tell me what to do with the silicone, do i smear it all of the foam or just where the tank and background meet.

I'm sorry I guess I wasn't specific. If you go to blackjungle.com click on terrarium supplies and then at the bottom right it will stay "how to build a terrarium backgroud" click on that and it has a detailed slide show step by step on exactly what to do.
