    Default Diving for locusts....

I recently rearranged my terrarium as I was getting fed up with staring at the same set up. I put the frog's pond in the middle of the terrarium instead of to the side. When i feed the frogs, I fish out anything that lands in the water. However, twice now I've been watching the frogs at feeding time and a locust has jumped into the water, and a frog has dived in get it. I didn't think they ate out of the water. Any one else's White's dive for food? It's pretty cool to watch

Yes Katie, Ive seen my Southern Bell eat a Locust in the water. They spend a bit of time floating and wriggling before they drown so they do tend to get the frogs attention. I have found a few though that have not been notice and have sunk to the bottom. I hate that..such a waste.

There used to be a show called Diving for locusts, but it wasn't as popular as Bowling for Dollars. The contestants never seemed happy either, winning locust after diving into various substances. I think they were hoping to win money.

Yeah, but you have to dive for them. They may make you dive into a shark infested pool or into spoiled chocolate pudding.
