Hi, I've finally bought another WTF to go with my other 2, its cool cos I've been looking for one that isn't the same colour as the others, this one is somewhere inbetween
Anyway, I put the new frog in a a smaller plastic tank next to the main tank, I did this thinking that the sooner all the frogs meet each other the easier it would be when they have to live together (when the new 1 is big enough). Immediatly one of the bigger frogs jumped onto the side of their tank, seemingly trying to get to the new one.. So I have now moved the smaller tank away so that they can't see each other.
Should I keep them seperated untill they live together?
I think its gonna be a good few months before they can live together, so should I introduce them slowly?
How should I go about it?
what would you lot do?
ok was the new wtf croaking at all or was any of your existing wtf croaking.
if both were then it could turn out that you have 2 males which im not completely sure what they would do to each other.
i have played the croaking of a wtf to my frogs as i know i only have 1 male but he does play up and starts croaking back he has some times head butted the front glass of the tank.
if they didnt make any noises then are you sure that the frog wasnt just trying to see what it was you were doing or maybe it thought you had food.
none of them where making any noise, but I have only ever heard a call from their tank once anyway.
I'm not sure that playing the sound to them will definitely work but it's worth a shot.

Keep the new one quarantined for a period of no less then 30 days, if at all possible in another part of the house. Becareful not to let anything the new guy comes into contact with, come in contact with your old frogs. Only introduce the new frog if they are roughly the same size. I think there is no need to slowly introduce a new frog.
Goto YouTube - Broadcast Yourself. and search for Elvis the treefrog sings again
Very cute. One of my Gray Treefrogs will respond to certain music or particularly loud movies :P.
