Help! Possible sick frog?

I think that some White's like to jump all over the place and won't stay still, and others will. This is definitely true of my two. Also, your frog may not be use to being handled yet. Just give it some time.

Yes, Bentley is my first frog.
I'm sixteen and have had an array of pets in my life,
but never a frog. And he's the cutest thing ever, but he looked so awful and it scared me a lot.
The people who I got him from warned me about shedding, but they said it would be dry skin.
This wasn't. It was slimy. /:

Also, he's super active and makes clicking noises, which I think is adorable... but is that a usual sound? Is that how they croak?

Also - we bought another one from Petco.
I named it Stella. We have this little dragon thing in their cage that kind of swirls upwards
and is hollow. Stella will NOT come out of it's mouth, and only comes forward when she sees the
crickets or worms. Normal?

All sounds normal to me! I have 2 White's, one likes to hide alot (comes out to eat!) and the other is very active!
I've never seen my frogs shed, sounds gross lol

First of all, congratulations on your new frogs! There is a wealth of information on this forum about caring for White's! If you haven't already, I highly suggest reading the White's Tree Frog care article.

My little Kibbits started out with tiny clicking noises when he was first learning how to croak. He was still young at the point. Over time, as he got older, his croaks got louder, longer, and deeper sounding! Then it was all you could do to keep him from croaking! haha - music, vacuum cleaners, something on a TV show, and he'd start right up!

As far as hiding vs. not hiding, I have two frogs that do the same as Katie's frogs. One (Igby) sleeps sprawled out on one of the many branches, out in the open for everyone to see. Kibbits is always hidden in some nook or cranny. There were times when trying to move them to a temp. tank to clean when we'd look for a good thirty minutes and finally find him tucked away inside of a log. But he was always the first one out come dinner time, patiently waiting at the glass doors for his meal ; )

Just let them settle in and they'll become more comfortable with their tank. Even now, when we clean the tank and re-arrange everything, the both of them kind of hide out for a day or two before they get used to the "new" surroundings.
