Varadero are a sweet little thumbnail. I can tell you from experience to make sure your tank is 100% escape free. They do not need much space to get out. Mine escaped when the sliding vents on the top of their Exo moved, leaving about a 1/4" opening. That was all the room they needed.

Otherwise, care for them is pretty straight forward. They do like to climb, so a tall tank would be welcomed by them.
