So some of the GE II has a toxic mold inhibitor, and some has a non-toxic inhibitor? They both contain the same chemical for mold prevention according to the MSDS, which is nearly identical for both silicones. They also both contain whats known as "BioSeal", a mildew inhibitor which has been getting aquarium people riled up for the past decade, but direct evidence for the negative impact of either isn't common. As you can see, Bill seems to have been using it just fine for years and I would go so far as to say neither type would be harmful to a vivarium set up. GE Silicone I has no mold inhibitors in it at all, but it does have the BioSeal additive included...
