I run my lights on a timer every day for 12 hours. My reasoning is that my frogs all come from on or very near the Equator, which means they get about 12 hours of daylight each day. Most of my dart frogs breed all the time. I've been tempted to try the Lunar Lights thing myself but never got around to it. However, I have a NAS for my home computer network (basically a hard drive on the network) that has bright blue LEDs shining from it very close to my imitator tanks and they have been laying eggs and raising tadpoles with no issues.
