    Default darts and feeding

Hi so i was looking at getting a pacman frog because i have a small tank i can use. After researching and discovering that its pointless to house a pacman in a live plant viv because of up rooting and the amount of waste they make, i have decided to go with another type of frog.

Now darts... Is there a dart frog i can acquire that doesn't eat fruit flies? I don't want the hassle of these little things.

Nope. Fruit flies are the staple of the dart frog diet. You could always go with something like a reed frog or chorus frog that would eat small crickets.

i talked to a guy today about fruit flies and i learned that the are flightless. lol so that changes a lot of things... i expected the annoying ones you find in your kitchen from time to time. but anyways, the reed frog looks like a very cool frog, and something i could manage quite easily. the fact that multiples can be cept in a ten gallon tank is nice too, *** i have a viv being set up in a 10 gallon. i would only keep one, myself, but its nice to know.

thank you very much for the recommendation, bill

My pleasure. Check out the starry reed frogs that Josh at genesisexotics.com. He breeds them. They are spectacular. Not sure if he has any available right now.
