    Default Hi!

Hi everybody! new to the forum, but I come bearing pictures and a question.

I'm in Lemoore, CA. We caught this guy in the garage last night. Can anyone identify this frog? is it poisonous? Any information would be great. We don't know if its a bullfrog or a yellow legged frog.

Hi again, and thanks for any help :P

I'm probably the only one who cares but... why did you capture it, wouldn't it be happier outside or maybe in your garage? Not sure about what U.S law says so I won't preach.
Welcome to frogforum! I can't really answer the topic because I haven't ever seen a wild Bullfrog or um.. "the other one" /Leonard

We found it last night. I didn't know if it was poisonous or not, and I live in a neighborhood with a lot of children, so I thought it best to try and identify it before letting it go or calling someone to come get it. I also didn't know if it was a pet, since we don't have a lot of water around here.

    thanks for replying.

thanks for responding! I've done some research and its listed as near threatened. Should i just release it, or is there someone I can call to come get it?

    Thanks again!

I would release it somewhere away from human habitation if possible. They're a great pet toad by the way.

But if they are listed as near threatened by the state of California, chances you can't keep it.

BTW, toads are toxic, but it is for self defense, and you really have to go out of your way to be poisoned.
