I was dropping locusts into my tank yesterday, right in front of the frogs, when Toad leapt up to take one but grabbed my finger instead! I shrieked like a wuss
Didn't hurt at all! Just felt cold and sticky!!! Haha!
Lol, I think i would shriek like a wuss too. That would have given you a fright.
It's good to see you back here. I haven't seen you in a while.![]()
Hey Ebony! It did give me a shockBut it's nice to see Toad back to his greedy old self!
It's been ages since I posted on here, not needed any advice for a while! lol I'll try and pop my head in more often![]()
Happened to me last week when feeding my pacman with tweezers, he looked up and I understood instinctively that my fingers was his new prey. He jumped 20 cm up in the air and stuck his tongue against my index fingerit was a mixed sensation.
Lucky for me it was a miscalculation from his side so he didn't bite me.
They're just sooooo quick aren't they??? I've heard pacman bites hurt, sounds like you had a lucky escape!
Mine are White's tree frogs, not sure if they're capable of a 'proper' bite! I felt Toad's teeth when I had to give him oral meds, wonder if they're sharp enough to deliver a painful bite.....
Thats happened to me a few times with the tiger salamanders, White's, and fire skink. BTW, the skink does hurt when it bites.
My fire-bellies used to bite me (allowing for the fact that their mouths were smaller than my fingers) when I didn't appear with their food on time. My Cuban Tree Frog, however, either honestly attacked everything that moved when he was hungry or was warning me to get my fingers out of his dinner...
It was hunger.
Sure are, I hate to feed with tweezers cause the surprise is to great for my heartI honestly have hard to register my forgs movements cause it's so fast that if you blink... well then you've lost to the frogs speed. Mm I don't want to be bitten by my Pacman... we should get "someone" to review each frog bite you can possibly be victim for on a 1-10 grade scale
Sounds like a brave little fellowMy Pacman attacks leaves from his tree each time they fall...

Fire-bellies: 0.5 (with 10 being the worst). Mid-sized Cuban Tree Frogs: maybe 2...he was probably just hungry, but that frog was a genius at human manipulation.
One fire-belly tried to eat a twig because another toad had stepped on the other end, making it move. Then she spat it out, hopped down to the water and started pawing at her mouth like she was trying to wash the taste out.
Ived been bit by my dumpys tree frog, cane toad, african clawed frogs, turtles(very rarely, they sometime mistake my finger for shrimp when I feed em shrimp).
It tends to be more related when I feed, they think its a worm. xD Lolol.its adorable.
