    Default Hello

Hi! Im super new to the forum and really new to keeping frogs as well. In fact.. I was just given my first frog and was looking to maybe get some advice from all you lovely informative froggie people.

I believe the species that I have is pseudacris crucifer. I am having a bunch of trouble finding proper information about them.. so any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Hello and welcome to the FF! A picture would help us give you a definitive ID. If it is a spring peeper, you can pretty much follow this care sheet - Frog Forum - Pacific Chorus Frog Their care is very similar! Depending on the age, you can start with fruit flies for feeding and upgrade to small crickets for adults.

Thanks so much for the super quick reply! I am trying to post a picture of him, but tapatalk has refused to send me an activation email. I think I just got dropbox to work though, so let me try to post a pic of him.

Agreed, he's definitely a spring peeper. Perfect "x" on his back, color, and size. Such a cutie .

Thanks so much everyone! I currently have him in a BioBubble Terra. Here are a couple of links of it.

    BioBubble Terra - Overview

    http://www.amazon.com/BioBubble-Terr...iobubble+terra

I am not sure on the dimensions of the Bio Bubble but it is about 2650 square inches for its volume based on a guesstimate.

I have it lined with coconut fiber and then I have ZooMed Frog Moss on top of the substrate. He has a wooden log hide tunnel and some fresh picked reindeer moss as well. I spray the enclosure down about once a week and the substrate stays pretty damp. Does this sound suitable for him as a living arrangement?

He will need air flow, and that doesn't look like it offers much. He is also primarily terrestrial, my peepers rarely climbed. A 10 gallon tank would be great for him and you could even add a friend in the future with a 10g. They really enjoy leaf litter. They like to hide in it and scavenge through it.
