Hello all!
I have been successfully using a no-filter humidifier for my 260gal reptarium (externally), but I would ideally like to focus the vaor inside the reptarium itself. I was thinking about modifying the vaporizer with PVC piping (1"-1.25" dia) and running it along the top edge of the reptarium, with 1/2"-3/4" (could do 1/4" if needed) openings along the way. My question is, does vapor travel that far under normal pressure? Or would I get everything coming out of the first couple of openings? The vaporizer itself actually puts out a HIGH volume of vapor (cool) - so much so that my lighting enclosure on the top of the cage has started to rust in places, lol - all the more reason to try and direct the vapor inside, as opposed to just keeping the humidity of the whole room high (we're talking ~60% +/-).
I'd really like to know how far cool vapor like this can travel before I waste the money on modifying one of the units.
(I am *not* looking for a "spray" misting system, so please don't respond with those suggestions)
Thanks much!![]()
