Questions about my whites

my frogs are eating well and very active but when i first purchased them (2 months ago) they were always bright. now they are only bright when i feed them. is this okay? also- arnie likes to crawl into the water fall rocks to hang out. i have no clue how he gets there because the opening to it is so small. should i do something to fix this?

When you say bright, do you mean their coloration?
