Perhaps planted in terra cotta pots slightly taller than the substrate so he can't get in? Would this work? That was going to be my idea. But since we have the same question why not shoot the breeze eh?
I just set-up like this with my pixie frog, though I'm new to the frog thing but I feed him in a separate cage and then soak him in water for a few until he uses the bathroom then back in his cage to reduce waste build up and prevent bedding/plant ingestion. Will update how this works out in another thread along with pics but I don't see why this method wouldn't work since the plants can be removed when cleaning and they are less likely to be damaged by the frog and its waste
