I've heard many people on my old Swedish reptilian community (never setting my foot there again) stating that it would be save to bring in rocks and wood pieces from outside into the terrarium where you house your frog. Is this true or false? Another question I have is if I can feed my Horned frog with insect, fish found outside, if I'm sure they aren't poisonous or comes from dirty environments? I once feed my Pacman worms from outside (you know the regular fat ones living found in your lawn) then I heard they could eat your Pacman from the inside...A couple or question marks there, please enlighten me.

I don't think the worms can eat their way out, I believe that is just an ongoing myth. Their digestive track is strong enough to take care of most anything, however if the digested insect or whatever is too big then they will just regurgitate it back up to avoid other issues.
But for the outside materials, I'm not 100% on that. But from what I've heard it can be safe, just give whatever you get a thorough cleaning and make sure you don't bring in any harmful insects or things along that line into your frogs habitat.
Like I said, I'm not 100% on that but I have heard people doing so.
But best of luck to ya!![]()
That makes sense, I mean Pacmans in the wild eat a lot of strange creatures without dying right? A worm shouldn't be that hard to eat, even I can do itI think...).
I won't pick up any harmful insects as I'm kinda afraid of my own health, if I wouldn't eat them or poke at them without worrying for my life I would certainly don't give them to my Pacman.I'm a little thoughtful about bringing in materials, I can only clean them with water right cause of the Pacmans skin, even if I wait for them to not smell and such? Thinking about however I can clean a stone with bacteria killing spray thingy (dunnowhat it's called in English).
Haha I hear ya man.
Your best bet is to avoid any cleaning products, because they could sicken the frog.
I would say soak whatever items you bring in from the outside in hot water for a good amount of time to kill off the majority of harmful things. Unless it's ridden with chunks of foreign soil to your frog, it should be a safe bet to use.![]()
Bake any item you bring in for outdoors for an hour at 200F. That should kill any nasty stuff.
Earthworms cannot chew their way out. I don't think they chew, period. I have never know any prey item to chew its way out.
It should not catch fire in your oven. Water boils at 212F, so baking wood, dirt, or whatever should be OK.
You're welcome.
