Default Re: can Red Eyes eat meal worms?

IMO ... the simple answer is....... NO.
They will increase the risk of intestinal prolapses. Too difficult to digest.

Simply establish a feeding schedule with high quality supplements.
A great option is to rotate more than one brand?
Date the lid of the supplements when they are opened ; establish ( discuss w/ the company) as to how long they can remain open before loosing potency.
Also , if the supplements are purchased in person, double check the interior seal has not been broken.

Repashy makes a cricket feeder to 'gut load ' the crickets.
The cricks for that night's feeding can be removed from the bin in the AM and given the gut load and a pc of fresh veggies.
ie sweet potatoes ( high in Vit A ) red leaf lettuce
I simply leave them in a gallon baggie for the day ( hang the bag ) ; they can't get out.
