Finn is officially a frog now...and only an inch long. I have never had a frog this small before. I managed to find some pinhead crickets, and I lightly dusted them and placed them in a glass bowl within Finn's 5 gallon. Will this work for feeding him? Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Pinheads should be OK. With my froglets I use fruit fly, ants, slater's, aphids, locust's. If you are concerned he/she wont catch the food easily then just feed him/her in a separate container. Its a good thing to get him/her used to as well. Inshallah & Philomenia used to freak out at first but it only took a couple of times for them to get used to it. Its a good way to monitor the progress as well. Oh.. and it's a good time for a photo session. Once he/she is eating well then you dont have to do this as much as i know its nice to watch them hunt in their enclosure.
Finn is a very neurotic frog. He reminds me of a bouncy ball-he is literally all over the place. I have taken Poe out to try feeding, but he doesn't seem interested in food yet either. He still has a little nub of a tail left, but he came out of the water for the first time yesterday. I will try the crickets in a bowl for today and tonight and then I will try taking Finn out and feeding him. I just want him to eat something before I leave for three days...I'll worry about them both if they don't eat something in the next couple of days....
