hi,
i want to get some dart frogs in like a 15 gallon only want 2 cobalts and i was wondering if there is anything else other than fruit flys i could feed them i really dont want to deal with fruit flys if i dont have too. i would much rather use really small crickets or sumthing of that nature. thanks
Fruit flies are your best bet, as not many pet stores sell the cricket size you may need. It's also cheaper, a single fruit fly culture produces lots of food.
You can also culture bean weevils and wax worms, but neither should be used as a staple.
ohh ok thanks for the input
Fruit flies are a pain but in combination with tiny crickets keep the dart frogs fat and happy. Get the wingless fruit flies, they are not as much trouble. Buying and/or culturing food for frogs is part of owning them.
