bullfrog tadpole question?

Hello i have a question about bulllfrog tadpoles.. How much water does a single bullfrog tadpole need.. i have a one gallon tank for him but not sure how much water he will need. Also when tadpoles start to grow their legs do their legs start out looking like little nubs at first? Thanks and GOD bless.
