Female White's tree frog singing??!!!

Hello everyone, today I played a recording of a frog croaking just because I haven't heard Angus croak in a while. So I played it in front of him, he did nothing....maybe he'd just too lazy. BUT, AGNES did answer. It wasn't like a full on croak it was more of a little squeal, not nearly as prolonged and loud as Angus's croaking. I have had them for a year and a half now and it seems doubtful at this point that she would withhold her gender from me for that long . So do female white's tree frogs ever call back to a male? Like "im over here". All responses appreciated and thanks in advance

Female whites tree frogs will respond when called to and therefore isn't the best way to sex them.

They'll chirp once, but I don't think they'll do it repeatedly.

I think it depends on the female :P Shirley will sometimes join in if Honey and Jelly are having a dual croak off, but she only replies back with a few small croaks, which sound nothing like full out male calling. Our Martha will occasionally croak, but only when she's gone to her hut for the morning, and it's almost as if she's telling the noisy ones (be they frog or human) to SHUT.UP.NOW! or WILL.YOU.JUST.SHUT.UP! lol... that's all, just 3 to 5 grumbly croaks and she's done :P Both sexes squeak or squawk when they are afraid or annoyed.
