I am starting to realize after feeding my adolescent red wigglers and from reading your posts that they don't like them. So.. I went out and saw earthworms and nightcrawlers at the store but didn't know which ones for sure. I bought night crawlers. They were a bit big but I cut one in half and he ate it. The frog still had issues with getting coconut husk in its mouth while eating the nightcrawler which annoys him.
Questions are:
are nightcrawlers better or earthworms, and should I be feeding him on a rock or in a tub so worms don't have substrate on them?
Hi and welcome to the forums
nightcrawlers are same earthworms, but bigger, both are the best good out there for big frogs. Substrate is ok, but coco husk you say you use is not, you need fine coconut fiber -Exo earth or plantation soil
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
Thanks for the info.. To clarify I was using coconut fiber from Ecoearth (I guess I couldn't think of the name at the time) :0
Are you saying that its ok to feed him the worms in the coco fiber even if the worm gets covered in it because its sticky and wet?
youll probably find it easier feeding in the dish with or without water.

oh ya the dish that I add and remove only for feeding is a great idea, He may even associate the dish with feeding over time lol
