Well, I'm from cold Canada, as my flag says. I do have to say I don't know if the heat would go through the glass. Does that mean I have to take the sticker off because apparently that's not the best option, IDK. But I don't know if my heating pad will heat through the glass. If you could take pictures of how it looks and show me that would help me very much.

hi, ya I guess I could of looked at the flag and figured out its pretty cold were you are more then likely. L.O.L Here is a picture of how my UTH's are setup for my pacman frog. There has is other plants that go in the bare end but I took them out for the picture. The big one in the back is hooked up to a dimmer and that's how I drop the temps at night.

Sorry to ask since I don't know very much about heating pads but how does that make heat for your frog if it's on the side of the terrarium. Does that mean I have to take the sticker off of the heating pad.

Yes it will heat the terrarium. The Heating Pad will heat the glass and the glass will dissipate the heat into the terrarium and warm the tank. It is not my favorite way to heat a terrarium but it is a common way. To put the heating pad on the side you would want to peal the "cover" off the adhesive side and stick it to the tank.

I prefer to use Ceramic Heat emitters. It provides a radiant heat to the tank from above. It can heat the tank Day and night and produces no light. They last much longer than heat bulbs and heat the tank without zapping much of the humidity from it.

I'm curious as to how you arrange the CHE over the tank. Do you use the hanging light bracket I think by exo terra? Thanks to you I use a 150 watt CHE for my 90g hermit crab tank and it works great, but I'm curious how it would work for frogs.

I used the exo terra or zoomed hanging bracket thing. It sticks to the side of the tank and you can suspend the light from it.

This is a really old picture, but if you look close at the tank in the background you can see a ceramic heat emitter hanging over the tank using one of those bracket things.

I adjusted the hight of it till it had the tank temps where they needed to be at. ..... AND wow that was an awful tank lol
