Hey everyone,
A few weeks back I re did my Whites Tree Frog cage. Its now has a 3 gallon pond at the front and live plants throughout. Ever since the frogs moved in they have been going CRAZY. All 5 of them croak at any sound that slightly resembles that of another frog day or night...and sometimes for no reason at all. They all appear to have black pads above their thumbs so I am certain they are all boys. The last couple nights I have checked on them to find this:The night after:
Okay here is my question. If I were to find a female WTF and place her in the cage with all the boys...would they harass her and stress her out? I read that tree frogs need a rain chamber to produce eggs...so if I added a female I would not have to worry about them reproducing, correct?
Hahaha they're adorable! In amplexus? They look like tomatos.
I don't think there would be any harm in it. However, female frogs are much harder to convince to enter breeding mode so I think there's almost zero chance you'll get eggs.

That has got to be one of the cutest pictures I've ever seen of WTFs. How do I get my little guys to do that? Ha! The only times I've seen them sit on each other is when one is in a particular location (like the secondary pond), and the other wants to be in that same spot. It's a battle of wills! "How long will it take me to convince you that it will be better to move than to have me sitting on your head all night?" haha!
Too cute! Thanks for the share!![]()
