Sealing DIY decor

I'm making some styrofoam ledges for my wtf viv and I have everything figured out except what to use to seal it. I carved styrofoam (I used the blue insulation boards because I had some on hand) and covered it with a few layers of sanded grout. Now I just need to make them waterproof, but I've found a lot of different suggestions and conflicting information on that part. Has anyone made these before and can suggest a product?

Sanded grout can cause you problems in the long run. It tends to crack much easier than non sanded grout. Ther: really no need to seal it. But if you feel as though it is needed, you can spray it with krylon fusion clear. Just make sure all foam is covered, because the paint will melt styrofoam.

I think I will pick up some krylon fusion and seal it just to be on the safe side. I wouldn't want the little troublemakers somehow dislodging some grout and eating it.

Also, I guess I don't have to worry about having sanded grout. A closer look at the label reveals that it's unsanded grout in "sanded grey" color. Because that's not a confusing label at all
