    Default whites tree frog

Blowing itself up like they do when they shed or blown up like edema? And yes pics would definitely be a great help. For now, don't worry too much if nothing else with the frog is different. Eating and pooping is really great.

Here are two possible common reasons for this in a frog that is otherwise acting normal:

-Males will blow up before and during calling.

-Frogs puff themselves up to help stretch the old skin before they shed it.

    (Pics do help)

Size: 101.8 KBIv seen him bloat to shed, but this was different this literally looked as though he was gonna blow up. He's on his own in the enclosure an about 4-5 months old estimate.

Hmm. Nice set up My concern is with shreds of moss or bits of things he could get into his mouth and ingest. But if he's hunting and eating normally it doesn't sound like impaction. Have you heard any croaking or calling or anything from him at all? He's young, but if he's truly a male he should be gearing up to sound off, and puffing up is part of that. I have pics of one of my young males blowing up before a croak session, and then what he looked like after with the deflated belly. Will have to see if I can find them so you can compare them to your guy.

These pics show one of my guys (sHEila) puffing up before a croaking session, mid session, and after his belly and throat deflated. I thought I had a much better one showing him from the top when he was all blown up, but I couldn't find it.

Now, my Jelly Bean also seems to be doing everything normally like your frog, but the last couple of months he's way more "blown up" than usual too (he's been calling more frequently too though so ?) Jelly Bean is a young adult but still very small for all his rotund look.

Does your frog look like this?
