    Default Mint Terribilis 24x18x24 Vivarium

Here is a picture journal of a tank I am setting up for a future pair of Mint Terribilis.

    Background foamed into place

Foam covered with Silicone and a mix of Peat Most, Coco Fiber, and Coco Husk.

Tried several layouts for some rocks and decided on this one. I like how it leads up into the spot where I will be placing a cocohut.

    CocoHut in place.

Showing some of the plant locations.

The Long leaf is an orchid.

Full tank shot to show how it is coming together.

More Orchids added and a different fern was placed at the base of the left ghosted.

    Showing Left Side Orchid locations.

Cork tubes on the right wall.

    Orchid on the right.

Added 3 different types of moss around the rocks in the middle.

Full tank shot - This is how it looks right now. I am still looking for some more plants to add.

Thanks for looking. I will update this thread again as progress happens.

I've been interested in trying orchids, can you list the sp. of epiphytic (non soil based-aka tied to wood/decor) orchids in your viv? I've also read orchids need air movement, will you be adding a fan?

I won't be doing anything for air movement in this tank. The orchids I bought said they are suitable for vivarium life.

Bulbophyllum Lasiochilum (On the right of the wood mounted to the edge)
Masdevalila Amplexa (Tall skinny leafy orchid on the back left)

    Epidendrum Porpax (Mounted on wood)

Cynorkis Fastigiata (Leaf spike in center of picture)

btw, i know you have moss mix all over that wood, but a strip of LFS on the roots of some of those orchids will help retain some moisture until the moss grows in and the wood becomes fully saturated.

This tank looks great! Love the hardscape in it. Do you have any update pics of growth? It looks like it already started to take off curious to see what a couple months out looks like
