I want to add that you can find dechlorinator in the pet aisle at Wal-Mart. I doubt that there's anything a vet can do about blindness in frogs and toads but maybe you could call and ask. (PS: You can PM me if you want the number of an exotic vet willing to see frogs in south MS. I don't know if he does wild ones but it seems likely.)

If you end up keeping him long term you may need to powder his insects with a calcium and vitamin d supplement, especially if you only feed him one or two types of insects.
