Hello, so about a month ago I took my 7 year old daughter to the pet store to buy her a betta. While we were in there she fell in love with the frogs. She has talked about frogs non stop since then! So I promised her if she took care of her betta and continued doing well in school i would get my old 20g long tank out of the shed and get her a frog.
Well since then she's done everything so its time to start setting the tank up. However while doing my research, I've been going back and forth on what to house in this tank. I know 20g long is perfect for a fire belly toad so that is option #1. however she really likes tree frogs.
So my dilemma is go the easy route and set the tank up for a fbt. Or go the harder more fun route (for me) and convert this tank into a vertical 20g long tree frog enclosure. before I decide I had a simple question from more experienced people such as yourselves.
1: does a vertical 20g long tank have enough floor space For a tree frog?
If I go with the tree frog I want to go all out making a Styrofoam tree with some kind of water feature and false bottom. Ill also need to create a door and vent For it but that's the fun part for me. My only concern really is do I have enough floor space. Thanks in advance and can't wait to get started
