Hi again,
Now that I have had Ripley for a few days, I've been trying to feed her red wigglers, as I hear crickets aren't an ideal diet.... And they're noisy. But she has been raised on a cricket only diet thus far (she was born May 30th), and she has shown no interest in any food other than crickets. Any suggestions to help open her mind to new things?
Thanks so much!
red wigglers have a bad taste to them....they realease this nasty smelly mucus that frogs hate....u should try earth worms...they are great for ur frog...and it might be tough to get ur frog to eat a worm for the first time since its so used to eating fast moving things.....u can try putting her/him in a water dish with like 1/4 inch of water and put the eath worm in there as well...the worm will wiggle a lot more and it might make ur frog respond....if not try putting the worm on one of his/her front legs....sometimes this makes them feel the worm and they will flipped the worm into their mouth with their hand...good luck tho![]()
It seems that the Earthworms are the ticket! Thanks
did she eat the earthworms when u tried??
Yes, she seems to be enjoying them!
