Default What color/morph is my frog?

Hello, I got my first Pacman today from a guy off Craigslist. He told me she was an albino mixed and at the time I took his word for it because I don't care about color, I've been looking for a Pacman for months so any color is great. But when I got home I looked up other morphs and nothing called that came up. He told me so much garbage about her care, adult size and what he paid originally, so now I'm just assuming everything he told me is nonsense and I'd like to know what people who know something about these frogs think! She's just a tad lighter in person. She seems healthy though despite her previous home!

I believe what you have is a C. Cranwelli. Looks healthy to me.

Looks like a standard Cranwelli. I'm no expert on frog genetics, so he could very well have had an albino parent, but that would only be something to consider if you got the frog for breeding purposes, maybe. As long as you are happy with your new friend, I wouldn't sweat it. Just take note of everything the guy told you so if problems come up in the future, you have some history for the frog. Other than that, I wouldn't trust much of what someone on craigslist was telling you when they are trying to make a sale. Just follow the care guidelines, and enjoy.

Thanks guys! I thought she was pretty average looking but I don't breed so that's fine. The only thing he told me that I believe is where he got her. First he paid 75, then it was 65. She's gonna grow to 18 inches and weigh seven pounds. He had her at 68 degrees, which is perfect. She likes to be handled, hold her all the time! They make a chemical in their bodies so if you eat her, you'll die. She's 4.5 months old but he had her for 4 months. (Doesn't it take them a month go from tadpole to frog?) This guy was just crazy, I just wish I could have gotten the other two frogs he had out of there

No problem, you don't have her at 68 degrees do you? And do you mean you hold her or he said he holds her all the time?

No definitely not, all that is what he told me. I just kept nodding and got the heck out of there.

Wow the green on him is so bright! Can I see Pacou too?
Mine (named Waka) has brightened up since bringing her home, I'm guessing she was darker before from being dry and cold/stressed Here she is now:

    Nice looking frog!
They don't necessarily get darker/lighter just from stress, more often it's the substrate they're on at the time. Like, they'll get brighter sitting on paper towels than in eco-earth. Mainly just didn't want you to think she was really stressed out if she changes color on you again

Oh okay thanks, that's good to know! The guy I got her from had her on (dry) coco coir, which is what I use but damp of course so I wonder why she changed! I had to up the exposure when I took this pic to really match her color so the paper towel looks super white haha she's also in shed so I think that's a good sign c:

I think sometimes they change color just to mess with us. I have a WTF that regularly goes from being brown to lime green in the course of a day just based on where in his tank he's sitting.
