I just noticed this white scar looking area under my juvenile pyxie frogs eye. I have had this guy for a week and is acting fine, eating great, seems fine. I just need some input on what this may be and what to do.
No replies? this is garbage
Wow, relax. No one here had the frog previously, so we don't know it's history. Yes, it looks like a small scar. Likely causes would be either being housed with others when he was young and got nipped, he smacked into something hard or sharp and scraped himself, or he got some kind of infection that has since healed. Looks like he is fine, just keep an eye on it, and if it ever looks like it is infected or bothering him, go to the vet.
I agree with the comment above. It is most likely a scar, but as you said he's doing great so nothing to worry about. Whenever you notice something different about your frog, it's always good to keep an eye on it but don't stress over it.

I have no input about your problem but if that was my frog and it turns out to be a male ill name him "Tony" Montana name from the movie Scarface.... .and everytime ill show him to my friends this will be my line " say hello to my little friend!" .... anyway I think your frog is okay the scar gives him a character which makes him/her diffrent from other frogs which I like .if he /she gets mixed with other frog you know which one is he/ she because of the scar .cool looking frog my friend.
"this is garbage" hahaha
and i think its the marking under the eye mine got and as a baby. i also thought it was a scar because it showed up on one eye first. its under both now and the frog is adult
Sorry for my hasty words! Thanks for the reply though I appreciate it!
Thank you to everyone for your replies! I apologize for the way i jumped the gun. It was rude. I have a job as well im in the marines. Thank you to all though it helps a bunch!
i would of simply replied to my own thread saying "anyone?" its over now, op apologized and we all understand.
op: after seeing the pics you posted on my laptop i agree it looks like a scar and not the eye marking i mentioned. it has depth, so it looks like an injury instead.
