Good Morning,
I'm afraid I can't specifically comment on the product w/ out the name of the product.
As to the aloe vera? Personally, I do not know. It's likely the 'toxin' is removed in the product's manufacturing?
Perhaps another member knows?

I believe ... when we questions the safety of a product .... go with your gut.
Air on the side of caution if you can not find a definitive answer. How could it hurt

Here's my 2 cents. ( with respect to dart frogs )
1) use an "amphibian safe product" ...........for amphibians
ie Aquatize made by Exo terra
2) I use distilled water in all my PDF enclosures ----daily misting / film canisters/ water dishes (ie a petri dishes ) and tadpole rearing
3) if a larger amount of water is needed for adding water to an enclosure for example, and I don't want to waste my distilled , I de-chlorinate w Aquatize

I would suggest calling the company and asking them if their product is 'safe for amphibians and/ or for dart frogs'
IMO I would not use a product that has not specifically tested w PDFs. We spend hours and hours taking care of our frogs !!! I'm a skeptic

If there is any doubt with the product you used , simply spray down the interior of the enclosure will distilled water.
