Feefing Pinkie Mice

Some just don't like pinkies. Nothing to worry about; pinkies aren't really very healthy for them anyway. You can always try rubbing it against the frog's mouth until he gets annoyed and strikes, but I personally wouldn't bother with it too much if he doesn't want one.

I rubbed it around his mouth but to no avail. If he had grabbed it I would only feed him about once a month or so.

Mine didn't like thawed pinkies either. Had better luck with the live ones but best to only feed as 'treats' very infrequently (I personally was a little put off with the live ones but understood why they liked it more).

If he doesn't like pinkies you can also try f/t silversides (sold at Petco and Petsmart) to add variety. Mine will eat pinkies if offered, but she will actually come out from being mostly buried if she smells silversides in the room.

Personally I've never had any luck with frozen pinkies. Only live and moving usually get the attention of my frogs at all. But then again, 1 of my frogs will only eat them on occasion when he's really hungry while the others straight up attack them. Although like stated above, only as a treat and not too frequent. I know this is absurd but I usually even dust them before feeding.

I had trouble when feeding pinkies at first. But I heat the pinkie up in hot water or under the bulb for a min or two, it seems to work.

Honestly pinkies aren't that healthy, except for a treat. Don't sweat it to much.
