Zoo Med Naturalistic Terrarium on special at Petsmart

I believe Zoo Med recently changed the way the door works on these because there were problems with them breaking. I'd love to see a photo of the older version. On this one there is a very satisfying click when the door locks (which is very easy to do). I have a hard time imagining accidentally not closing it right.

In other news, I successfully removed the rear of the door vent last night - going to put "No-see-um" mesh on the inside of it to keep the fruit flies in the terrarium. Getting the rest of the building supplies today. I'm going to make one of those Sodium Bentonite backgrounds that Mike and Emily use.

Do you have any pictures of how you altered the tops of these cages?

I just picked up the 12x12x18 a couple days ago. Just signed up here this will be my first terrarium.

I really like these Zoo Meds. Just be sure you seal it well - the door and the lid need work.
