Sleepy Red eyed tree frogs and brown spots

Hi, I have 3 Australian Red Eyed tree frogs that I've had for just over a month . Now unlike my Whites tree frogs and magnificent tree frogs, they are only active for about 1 - 2 hours a day. They wake up at 7:30pm when I feed them and they eat, drink and 1 hours later they just go sit on a leaf of or on the background untill 5:am the next day when they then move to there normal sleeping spots, but sometimes they will just go to there sleeping spots straight after eating and sleeping for almost 22 hours. Is this normal for Australian red eyes? It is Summer in Australia as well.

Also one of the red eyes has 3 brown dots on his side, I can't remember if he had it when I got him, but are these normal or are they a bruise or some kind of bit mark? The photo quality isn't the best.

Your frog looks good.
This does not appear to look ominous to me.
Keep us posted.
If this should begin to spread or change ..... ie appear to be a different shade of green and spread to the frog's back... I would get a visit w/ a herp vet.
If this frog is new to you collection , I'm sure you know it should be in quarantine.

I bought all 3 red eyes at the same time but I out of my 11 frogs I've never quarantined them? I was never told to but I did buy they all from the same breeder and all are healthy and never had any major problems.

Quarantining each new frog is very very important, regardless of where they came from. If that little brown spot turns out to be a bacterial or fungal infection, it could kill every single frog you have. That's why we quarantine. It only takes one unhealthy frog, for whatever reason, to do a lot of damage. It's easier to quarantine than treat many frogs Even if all the frogs came together, quarantine is good to protect your vivarium so you do not have to rip it apart and disinfect. I agree that your frog looks healthy, but I'd keep a close eye on that spot to make sure it doesn't spread. As for the sleeping...make sure at least 3 sides of the tank are covered, lots of plant cover, there is no light getting in at night (not even "moonlight" bulbs or anything of that sort) and they should get more active for you. I will make sure it's completely black. I have never quarantined as well because when I buy frogs, I buy them all at once like I have 4 whites tree frogs but I bought them all at once so I don't see the need to quarantine them in those cases which have been when I buy all my frogs.

When I bought my first two red eyes (Agalychnis callidryas), I kept them in a quarantine "hospital" tank for over a month. It is much easier to observe how much they're eating, pooping, and any changes in appearance than in a regular vivarium. Also, if they had been sick, I would have had to to take apart the vivarium and disinfect everything. That's why it's important even if you buy in a group

The darkness should help them be more comfortable and wake up. They're aware of what is going on even when they're sleeping though, so if you do not have 3 sides covered, they will do their best to stay sleeping. I had one red eye that wasn't comfortable waking up until I covered 3 1/2 sides of the tank. Then, over time, I slowly removed it so that only 3 sides were covered. Even now, their tank has 3 full sides covered or they get too stressed out.
