I don't think they are bad nutritional wise, I think its the fat content in them. I give them to my girl every couple weeks and she loves them.

When talking about nutrition, it's always important to specify staple or treats.
Hornworms as a staple, I am not too sure.. as a treat, absolutely!!!
That's why I said every couple weeks, the fat content is to high. I hope he would feed his frog more then every couple weeks. And please don't think im trying to be rude, that's the last thing im trying to do.
Hormworms are like big watermelons, nothing much nutritious, but in bigger quantities can cause diarrhea. They also contain triaminase = short tongue syndrome.
one or two for variety are ok.
there were threads about it not long ago, I posted there the supporting documents.
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
Thank you Lija for stating that because I was always told they were nutritious but had high fat so that's why you shouldn't give them all time. Was never told they could cause those side effects. Like I say I always learn something new here on the forum. I am going to go find that thread and read it, thanks again.
