My newest Red Eye Junior has developed what looks like a blister on one of his rear toes. Junior has been quarantined in a separate room away from the rest of my frogs the entire time and I've been keeping him in a small glass terrarium with some wet paper towels and a water dish. He's was thin when I bought him but looks healthier now, he eats, moves and jumps around fine, his poop looks normal. Other than the blister thing he seems fine. I noticed it this morning while cleaning his tank, I thought about maybe putting neosporin on it to try and keep it from popping but wasn't sure if touching it would be bad. Anyone have any suggestions on what I should do or how I should treat this? I've only had this little guy since Monday and would hate to lose him to something that could be treated.
Ouch! Sorry your frog has a problem Glad you have him in his own QT tank. Could it be his toe got pinched in something? Looks like a blood blister. If he doesn't have these anywhere else I'd suspect possibly it's an in jury. Not sure about the Neosporin, possibly Melafix? I'd check into that.
Mom to these fine frogs!
