    Default found ants in enclosure?

Last night, found approximately 5 very small ants in the enclosure, have never had this issue before and daughter has had for two and half years. since moving to NC few months ago, periodically find gnats and husband changing the substrate, the plants and branches are over year old. This is first we have seen ants and don't know where they came from.
Best way to get rid of? Do we need to completely redo everything?
    thank you

Ants come inside houses typically looking for water. If you only found 5 ants I wouldn't get to alarmed. Kill the ants and keep an eye out. Now if you had found a line of ants going in and out of your tank than I would have a different response for you

they are also known as scouts
do as paul said but cover their tracks with eucalyptis oil or something strong smelling so other ants dont come check it out
they track each other by smell ddo it otherwise you will have a swarm checking it out

If you suspect the ants come from the outside, try drenching a cotton ball with mineral or baby oil and gently smudge it on the vent holes.

Also check around if there maybe a food source inside (dead prey stuck to some corner, etc.)
Worse case scenario is for you put out/replace the whole substrate.
