    If there is any noise, you likely have a male. In the past 4 years, I have heard a peep out of my big female maybe 3 times total, and only when she's startled. It's very soft and nothing like the noise a male makes. When the males first start calling, it takes them a bit to get the hang of it and sound like recordings that you hear. It took about a month before I was absolutely sure my Atlas was a male...then I also have a male who has never made a sound.

    Just looked at your pics, definitely looks male to me in the one shot with a puffed up throat.
