Out of 4 monkeys I got, one developed a problem and had one do this; pedialyte, Lafeber carnivore diet, eventually had to give Baytril diluted one drop on back for five days-a reptile vet can make this for you. After that treatment his weight caught up to the rest of the group in about 3 weeks. Your new girl may have had a low grade bacterial infection so I would treat her too; maybe all of them?

I'd separate him. For a number of reasons but not least as female Waxies can be bullies. As your issues started with the introduction of a new female, this is a possible reason for the weight loss. If it isn't and he's sick, still needs separating.

By the way, the Pedialyte is used diluted (about 30%) . as a soak. It really helps them feel better. Then I agree with isolating him with paper towel substrate and a small hide; this way you can put in a couple of crix before bedtime and you will know for sure if he eats. My sick frog got one feeding of the Lafeber product and it kick-started him hunting. Nonetheless I did the antibiotic treatment. I would definitely take this guy to the vet; amphibians are so stoic that by the time you can tell they are sick or losing weight it's pretty serious. I would say no, no to cat or dog food, it is full of grain and gluten!

And if it is possible you could do with less humidity; I actually gave up on live plants because they do contribute to humidity.

Do not treat anything unless is prescribed! You can make more damage then good! Especially with antibiotics.

diver is right! Waxies can be bullies, especially females, some are so mean, have huge egos and don't tolerate each other. Thus a need of big enclosures. Yours is on a smaller side and not enough basking spots. Moss is bad, especially for waxies, they eat without looking much, will easily eat a cricket and a bunch of moss with it = impacting, bloating, not eating, etc. So for now
separate, use papertowels for substrate - easier to see poops/pees, monitor them. Do you have water dish? If not have it, not too deep.
Uvb - how often do you change it? When was the last you replaced the bulbs? I also question airflow - you have heating and the exoterra light fixture. How big is area of your screen top that is not covered with anything?

do that and see how it'll go. Update us too. Good luck
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!

Agreed Lija did not mean to imply to treat without seeing a vet-that is what I meant by a vet prescribing it. Totally agree with separating him first as you can't really know if he is eating and eliminating without doing that.
